| The Kathe Kruse Doll Studio is the oldest German Doll company that is still existing and working in the traditional way. The first Kathe Kruse doll was created in 1905 and had just celebrated it's 100th year in 2005. Kathe Kruse doll is a true German legend. Each doll and item of doll clothing is made by hand and takes 16 to 36 hours to make. As a result, not one doll is the same and the complicated production process never allowed the products to be mass produce. The dolls that are made in the early years are now so vluable on the collector's market that prices increase from year to year.
